1. Educational Philosophy and Goals
Our institute was established with the educational philosophy of contributing intellectually to the international community and aims to foster global human resources. This year is 15th year since the institute’s founding. We have consistently provided Japanese language education and guidance for international students aiming to enter Japanese universities and vocational schools. We have also actively accepted requests from short-term learners, such as foreign research students and business professionals, and have provided Japanese language education alongside current students. From 2023 to 2025, about our philosophy and policy, we accepted international students, provided Japanese language education, and achieved almost all targets for educational goals. Many of these students were able to take admission of national universities, private universities, and vocational schools, fulfilling their study abroad goals.
The institute meets the standards for operating a Japanese language educational institution and reports directly to the Immigration Bureau, as of necessary. In 2023 and 2024, the institute was consecutively evaluated as “Class I” by the Fukuoka Immigration Bureau.

2. School Operations
The institute is currently operating with a morning and afternoon session. The institute’s campus is located within an area planned for road expansion by the city of Fukuoka. As a result, part of the campus was expropriated by the city in 2023, and the institute failed to meet the operational standards, as of March 19, 2025, the enrollment will be zero after the graduation of the current 100 students.
The staff consists of the school principal, curriculum coordinator, full-time teachers, part-time teachers and student affairs staff members. The institution operates in accordance with the announcement standards and educational objectives for Japanese language education institutions. Teachers meet the qualification requirements set by the standards and have extensive experience in the field. The administrative office is staffed by full-time employees. Job duties for faculty and staff are clearly defined, and the decision-making process is communicated to all staff. The knowledge, abilities, and qualities needed for achieving educational goals are documented, distributed, and used to create self-assessment items that guide and provide advice.

3. Educational Activities
Our educational philosophy of contributing intellectually to the international community and fostering global human resources, we systematically organize the curriculum. We implement education according to the entrance period, and every three months, we conduct proficiency tests to evaluate students’ Japanese language skills and organize the classes accordingly. In addition, regular performance evaluations and end-of-year exams are conducted, and criteria for assessing academic performance are clarified. All full-time teachers have more than 8 years of experience and are responsible for their respective classes, collaborating with part-time instructors to guide students. At the same time, each teacher contributes to the improvement of their own educational skills while fulfilling their duties.
The organization of the curriculum and the implementation of lessons are always focused on improving students’ Japanese proficiency. Faculty meetings are held to verify the implementation status of the educational content, and through routine tests and classroom observations, we monitor students’ Japanese proficiency. In cases where students are underperforming, we investigate the causes, identify the problems, and adjust the structure of the next lessons accordingly. We also consider the need for supplementary lessons or additional assignments. In particular, students from non-kanji countries, such as Vietnam and Nepal, often take longer to master kanji, and although their listening and speaking skills are typically strong, it takes more time to develop reading comprehension and grammar skills. We believe there is a need to further refine the curriculum and lesson plans to address these challenges.

4. Learning Assessment
Each lesson is followed by a test to check the learning progress, evaluate the students’ understanding, and review the lesson’s pace. We then proceed to the next lesson based on the test results. A final comprehensive test is conducted to assess understanding of the learned content, language proficiency, and the application of knowledge, and the results are used to inform future lessons. Grades are based not only on tests but also on overall factors such as participation enthusiasm, attendance, and submission of assignments and homework.

5. Student Support
Since students are leaving their home countries for the first time and starting their study abroad life in Japan, we assume that they all arrive with concerns and anxieties. To alleviate these concerns, we pay close attention to all aspects of their life in Japan, keeping in contact with their families and ensuring they can live in Japan comfortably until graduation. Our staff provides support for various procedures such as registering their address in concerned ward office, opening bank accounts, purchasing bicycles, and providing them communication facilities i.e. mobile phone and internet. We accompany students to help them with these procedures if they are unable to understand the language. During the orientation after arrival, we thoroughly explain rules such as road traffic laws, bicycle riding regulations, attendance policies, waste disposal system, school discipline, and cooperation with the surrounding community and Japanese society.
We provide individualized guidance for university admissions process, considering factors such as the student’s aspirations, abilities, family financial situation, and future dreams. We also raise awareness of disaster preparedness, with specialists inspecting safety equipment and conducting drills at the Fukuoka City Disaster Prevention Center once a year.
To ensure students’ health, we conduct an annual health check-up and provide ongoing health and lifestyle guidance. We also provide information on part-time job opportunities, explaining weekly working hours, interview guidelines, labor regulations, and work safety.

6. Enrollment of New Students
We accept international students primarily from China, Nepal, and Vietnam. In the recruitment process, we share information about our school’s educational goals, curriculum content, teaching methods, school`s student capacity, student`s eligibility conditions, and Japanese language proficiency requirements. We communicate with overseas high schools, universities, and intermediary agencies, visiting them regularly to provide accurate information. In the future, we plan to expand our recruitment efforts, considering diversity and balance, with a particular focus on accepting students who have basic Japanese language knowledge.

7. Financial Situation
Since its opening, the school has had a maximum enrollment capacity of 224 students due to the limited size of the campus. In the medium to long term, the institute has a stable financial base. With annual revenue of 90 million yen, the institute’s financial planning is effective and sound. Accounting services are outsourced to a certified social insurance labor office, and financial information is not made public.

8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Within two weeks of enrollment, we explain to all incoming students, through an interpreter, the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, various related laws, and the student rules- regulations. We place particular emphasis on ensuring that students strictly follow the work regulations for part-time jobs, prevent illegal employment, and prohibit entry into establishments offering adult entertainment. We make every effort to prevent illegal stays, and as a result, there have been no illegal stays or illegal employment among our students in recent years. Additionally, we have received no complaints or warnings from local residents about the school or student living areas.

9. Management of Student Personal Information
The application documents, attendance records, academic performance, and personal contact information of students are managed by the staff members and the Director of Administration. The input of attendance and grades, as well as the management of data, is handled by the curriculum coordinator and designated staff, ensuring that this information is not leaked to external parties.
